We have divided our product line into "Widow's Watch" cider and "Sappho, the 10th Muse" sparkling wine. We are a family run operation, much like colonial orchards and European vineyards of olde. We dote over our heritage cider trees and champagne-region vines with all the attention needed to make truly remarkable bubbly. While we do not have a tasting room and are not open to the public, our sparkling ciders and wines are available in local fine retail shops.

When it came time to design our wine label and name our line of wines...we couldn't resist using the acronym for White Oak Lavender Farm (WOLF) and of course our peaceful wolf had to be purple! While visiting the farm you are welcome to walk one of the vineyards and taste our delicious wines (some are infused with lavender!). You are welcome to bring in some snacks or we have cheese and crackers available for purchase to enjoy with your wine. Choose from our enclosed, covered deck with heaters or ceiling fans. You may just love the purple chairs and farm tables! Outside we have several fire pits and lots of lovely seating.
Rockbridge Vineyard is the fruition of Shepherd Rouse’s dream to make fine wine in his native state of Virginia. After several years of education and experience in the wine industry, Shep returned home, purchased a farm in northern Rockbridge County in the Shenandoah Valley, at a higher elevation than most Virginia vineyards and began planting grapes. From this palette, Rouse is able to produce a full spectrum of wines to match a broad range of individual tastes. His motto is “All Virginia, All the time.”

The Bogaty Family hails from the Italian Alps where, even today, members of the Bogaty family still own and operate a small vineyard. A generation later, Jim decided that it was time to return the family to its roots. Three generations of the Bogaty family, Jim and Della, along with their son, Justin, daughters Tiffany and Ashley, and numerous grandchildren continue the legacy of the family’s tradition of excellence in winemaking. Being a family-owned winery absolutely affects our winemaking. As a family-run business, we put the long-term interests of future generations above short-term financial gains. Veramar’s success is measured by generations, rather than by numbers in quarterly reports.
We are located in the eastern Shenandoah Valley in Page county, known for its rural character and scenic beauty, between the towns of Luray and Stanley.
